Welcome to our Telehealth program. Effective 3/23/20, Acacia Family Medical Group is working to offer you visits through video call. These visits will be much the same as a regular visit in the office. We are using Updox for this service. See the details below. If your phone doesn’t fit the models described, a computer with camera and email is another option - please install the Zoom application. We suggest you prepare a day ahead to make sure your phone or computer are compatible. Call us to help if you are not sure.
At this time, we will try to do call set up on the spot if we are able to. You will have the piece of mind of a medical visit without having to leave home. If for any reason the technology does not work for a video call with you, you have the option of requesting a meeting by video through another platform such as zoom, which will allow for the same kind of visit but has not been fully certified for HIPAA privacy. Despite this you can choose that option in order to conduct an off-site visit with us if there isn’t the more secure option available to you.
